    JODY PRATT, founder of the Maritime Firefighter School is an IFSAC (International Fire Service Accreditation Congress) Fire Service Instructor II and Fire Officer I. He also holds a Master Instructor rating from PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) and has been an active instructor in the Maritimes, and Eastern US for 20 years.

    JODY has been involved in the fire service for 13 years and holds many Technical Rescue Instructor/Trainer credentials such as Water, Ice, Swiftwater, Rope, Boat and Dive Rescue to name a few of his specialties. He is an active member of the Shediac Fire Department (Shediac, NB)  and serves as a training committee member, public relations chair and department instructor.

    In January 2011, JODY was elected as President of the Southeastern Firefighter's Association (SEFFA). He continues to be an advisor on the Training Committee and had represented Westmorland County as VP on the SEFFA Executive for 2009-2011.

    Before the 2010 NBAFPO (New Brunswick Association of Fire Prevention Officers) Seminar held in Bathurst, NB, JODY was appointed Chairman of the Education Committee for NBAFPO.
